Its Welsh name means Red Ridge
Crib Goch, meaning "Red Ridge" in Welsh, is a prominent and challenging arête on the northern ridge of Snowdon in Wales, rising to approximately 1,035 metres. It is a popular but technically demanding route for climbers and hikers due to its steep, scree-covered slopes and exposed ridgeline. The feature is significant for its role in the mountain's geography and as a test of skill in Welsh mountaineering.
