What is recorded here

Crannog is a small island in a lough, built or chosen for life when the land around was wet, crowded or dangerous. The name CRANNOG: THE LOUGH still points to that place in Moylarg, County Antrim. A crannog is not a myth, though it becomes one when the water takes the wood and the rooms disappear. It is a house made visible only by what it refused to drown.
