Crannog: Shemy's Island is a scheduled ancient island in County Derry, Ireland. It is an artificial dwelling place built above water, likely with timber, turf and stone. People may have lived there, farmed around it or kept it as a seasonal retreat. The name Shemy still belongs to the island, even though the water and land have changed since the building was first completed.
