Crannog in Dún Lúiche Íochtarach was a small island in County Donegal, marked on the 3rd edition of the OS 6-inch map, but water has since taken it back. It may have been a place of shelter, worship or ordinary life before the lake rose to claim it. What is left is absence, a gap in the land where something once stood.
