Crannog in Corraneary is a water dwelling in County Cavan, Ireland. It is a crannog, a kind of artificial island or platform built in lakes and bogs where people lived, kept animals, and hid when danger came. The name Corraneary belongs to the place, and the crannog kind tells what it was. Little public detail is missing, but the shape is clear: a small home raised above water, built by human hands, and still part of the land.
