What is recorded here

Crannog in Cappalaheen, clonlea, derrymore East, killanena (tulla Lower By.), knockatinty, knockatooreen, teeronea is an artificial island dwelling in County Clare, Ireland. The exact history and dimensions of the site remain hidden, but the name suggests a place where life continued above dangerous water. Someone built a small landmass in the lake, perhaps to escape floods, thieves or winter hunger. That act of shaping nature still resists forgetting.
