Crannog in Bunnahone Lough is a submerged or island dwelling in County Fermanagh, preserved as a scheduled archaeological site rather than an ordinary empty field. Water, reed, fire and household noise may have filled the same small circle where men lived, loved, argued and died. The lough keeps the shape of that life beneath its surface, waiting for rain, memory or a person brave enough to stand beside it.
