Why this matters
Craig Ogwr is a sea cliff composed primarily of Carboniferous limestone, formed around 340 to 320 million years ago through the accumulation of marine sediments. The cliff is notable for its exposure of sedimentary rock layers that provide insight into ancient tropical sea conditions and may contain fossil remains of marine life from the Carboniferous period.
