Craggagh Fort

Killruan macGearain and his kin built Craggagh Fort beside the Burren, raising a circular cashel whose thick stone wall enclosed a defended farmstead and underground refuge. They farmed the surrounding fields, traded with passing boats, and passed the fort through several generations until wider conflicts and changing ownership reduced it to a gapped ruin. Its stones still mark a circle on the hillside, preserving the shape of a household that once believed it would outlast every storm.
