Covenanters' Hole

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Covenanters' Hole as Covenanters Meeting Place (17th Century), Hollow (nil Antiquity). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Covenanters' Hole is associated with the 17th-century Covenanters, Scottish Protestants who resisted royal interference in church affairs. The site is traditionally believed to have been used as a hiding place or meeting spot for these persecuted religious dissenters.
