COURT TOMB in Longfield, County Fermanagh, is a Neolithic court tomb where human bones and marker stones still lie together beneath the grass. It is one of the oldest surviving addressess in Northern Ireland, old enough that the people who built it left no written name behind. The chamber and entrance court are not a ruin to be completed or a puzzle to be solved. They are a finished act of memory, made visible in stone long before writing existed.
