What is recorded here

Mud, marrow and memory still belong to the men who built that court in Neolithic times. They dragged heavy stones across Ballintaggart, fitted them without mortar and left a chamber where the dead could stop running from forgetfulness. Court tomb is not a fancy label, it is a shape: an open box, a narrow passage and a roof that resisted rain for centuries. The living may have walked past it at harvest, fed it with beer or feared the voices sleeping under its stones.
