Counterfort scarps cut through the green hills of Racavan, marking a boundary drawn before human memory. The earth itself holds the shape of a wall never built, a line drawn by water or time rather than human hands. What was enclosed has forgotten the purpose, leaving only the scar visible in grass and stone.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as COUNTERSCARP RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
