What is recorded here
No visible trace remains, but the county boundary and official name preserve the shape of a lost fort. That much is certain. Whether it was a trading post, a fortress or a boundary marker for a forgotten kingdom, the name itself is a claim of importance. Gulladuff kept the claim alive long after the stones disappeared.
