COUNTERSCARP RATH in Drumcrow East

COUNTERSCARP RATH

What is recorded here

Drumcrow East still holds the counterfort of that forgotten rath, a buried ridge where human hands shaped the earth before recorded history. The stones may have fallen, but the shape remains, waiting for boots, rain or dreaming to reveal what it resisted.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as COUNTERSCARP RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
