What is recorded here

CounterScarp Rath, Creggan, County Antrim: an ancient ringfort, its buried bank still drawing a line around forgotten lives. The official record leaves the dates empty, but the shape is not vague. A rath is a boundary made flesh, a place where people drew a circle and said no to the dark. That much is written in the earth.
