Cottage, Opp. Pembroke Castle

House

What is recorded here

Opposite Pembroke Castle, a small Post Medieval cottage stood on the Pembrokeshire coast. It may have sheltered castle keepers, fishermen or travellers passing the ancient fortress. Inside, firelight would have moved across wooden walls while sea wind pushed through the doorway. The cottage still belongs to the national record, but its rooms no longer answer knocks.
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Cottage, Opp. Pembroke Castle as House from the Post Medieval period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
