Coroghon Mòr is a sea cliff composed primarily of Lewisian gneiss, dating back to the Precambrian era, around 2.7 to 3 billion years old. These ancient metamorphic rocks formed under intense heat and pressure deep within the Earth's crust and are notable for their durability and role in the geological foundation of the Scottish Highlands.
