What is recorded here

This blue commemorative plaque records: This Georgian town church built in 1754 replaced the Church which was part of the Cluniac Priory of St Mary de La Charité and St Augustine founded here in 1107 by Hugh de Leicester. This building designed by David Hiorne of Warwick was based on All Saints Derby now Derby Cathedral which in turn was designed by James Gibbs. Recorded plaque organisation: Daventry Heritage Trail.
The church commemorates a site originally home to a Cluniac Priory founded in 1107, and the current Georgian structure, built in 1754, reflects architectural influences from Derby Cathedral.
