This blue commemorative plaque records: Brixworth House. Dr Frederick Harper lived here when there was an outbreak of diphtheria in the village in 1890. For some 30 years at the beginning of the 20th century, Dr Rayner Winterbothan held his surgery here. Dr Mary Thomas practised here from 1937 until the late 1960s.
