This blue commemorative plaque records: Fox and Hounds Inn. 1848 is the first reference found for this public house. In 1911 the pub was owned by Dulley and Sons, a subsidiary of Praed's Brewery, Leonard Lyman was the tenant. He remained until 1934 when the license was revoked. Later the barns at the rear were used by Mr Phil Foreman to restore steam engines. Recorded plaque organisation: Brixworth Heritage Trail.
The Fox and Hounds Inn, established by 1848, has served as a local gathering spot, notably under tenant Leonard Lyman from 1911 to 1934; later, it was associated with steam engine restorations by Mr Phil Foreman.
