This blue commemorative plaque records: The Brown House. Originally a farmhouse, it became the home of Dr Harper. Medical Officer at Brixworth Workhouse in the 19th Century. Dr Harper, a Medical Officer at Brixworth Workhouse in the 19th century, resided in The Brown House, which was originally a farmhouse. Paul Morgan, co-founder of Ilmor Engineering and notable in motorsport engineering, lived there from 1948 until his death in 2001.
