This blue commemorative plaque records: Craig Leslie, Lee Wilson, Stewart Leslie, On 26th May 2012 "Land on our Left" set sail from this bay to become the first Kayak Team to circumnavigate the British coast line anti clockwise. They returned here on August 29th 2012. Recorded plaque organisation: Newbiggin By The Sea Heritage Trail.
Craig Leslie, Lee Wilson, and Stewart Leslie are remembered for their remarkable achievement of being the first kayak team to complete an anticlockwise circumnavigation of the British coastline, departing and returning to the same bay between May and August 2012.
