This green commemorative plaque records: Middlesbrough Pottery This is the site of the Middlesbrough Pottery established by Richard Otley in 1834. A fine collection can be seen in the Dorman Museum which also has a large collection of Linthorpe Ware, from the Linthorpe Pottery established in 1879.
