Colin Bateman

Bangor, County Down, is where Colin Bateman grew up and began writing. He left school at sixteen to report for the County Down Spectator, then turned those sharp local observations into novels such as Divorcing Jack and Murphy's Law. The town gave him its voice: young, restless, amused by its own contradictions.
