Coity Castle ramparts and moat is a castle, fort or tower in Bridgend, Wales. Perhaps the moat swallowed carts and pride alike, forcing visitors to wade ankle-deep in cold water before they reached the gate. Maybe the ramparts still hold the shape of hands that climbed them in a hurry during a storm. Imagine a keeper standing at the edge, not guarding treasure but watching the valley change colour from green to amber and back again.
