What is recorded here
Coed-Goleu is a 19th-century garden attached to Bryn Bras Castle in Gwynedd. It may have given castle residents a rare gift: a green room where thought could move instead of sitting still. Whether that is true or not, the name still points to light moving through leaves, which is enough to imagine the place doing its work.
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Coed-Goleu, Extension of Grounds of Bryn Bras Castle as Garden; Garden from the 19th Century period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
