St Luke’s Chapel and Well in Clova is associated with the veneration of St Luke the Evangelist and was a site of pilgrimage and healing in medieval Scotland. The holy well, like many similar sites, was believed to have curative properties, particularly for eye ailments, reflecting St Luke’s traditional role as a physician and patron of healing.
