What is recorded here

Half the fort is gone, but the surviving western arc still stands on the grassy slope, guarding the bog below. The missing eastern half may have collapsed into time or simply stopped being needed. What remains is a shallow dish of earth, wide enough for a dozen people to circle twice, narrow enough that no army could hide inside it. The loss is not damage; it is completion. The fort finished becoming what it wanted to be: a suggestion rather than a wall.

On a NW-facing slope in grassland, overlooking bogland to W. Very poorly preserved subcircular rath (NE-SW 26.5m, NW-SE 24.9m) defined by a scarp, intervening fosse and outer bank, best preserved from W to N. No visible surface trace of the fosse and outer bank survives from N through E to SW. There is a CBG (GA043-045001-) within thr interior.
