Clogwyn Carog is a sea cliff composed primarily of Silurian greywacke and volcaniclastic rocks, formed around 440–420 million years ago during the Caledonian orogeny. The cliff is notable for its resistant rock formations and coastal erosion features, typical of the older geological sequences in North Wales.
