Clochan in Fán was a circular fort on the lower south slopes of Mount Eagle, overlooking Dingle Bay. Four clochauns stood inside the ring when surveyors last walked the grass, but the earth has since swallowed the stones and erased the boundary. The sea may have taken the site during a storm, or people may have simply stopped building there because the view already provided enough certainty. Either way, the fort withdrew from the landscape while the bay kept watching it leave.

Circular enclosure KE052-246---- marked on the 1st edition of the OS map no longer survives. Four clochauns were marked in the interior and the site was named 'Fort' on the Fair Plan.
