Macalister (1899, 240) recorded the sites of 2 clochauns here. Curran (no.40) described one as c. 5m in diameter with a 'small covered chamber connected with it on the north'. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1464.
