What is recorded here
Macalister (1899, 240) recorded the sites of 2 clochauns here. Curran (no.40) described one as c. 5m in diameter with a 'small covered chamber connected with it on the north'.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1464. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
