Cliff Tannery and Leather Works blue plaque

This blue commemorative plaque records: Cliff Tannery. These magnificently renovated buildings, now known as Sugarwell Court, were built by Edward Kitchen as the Cliff Tannery and Leather Works. As a premier member of the large Victorian Leeds leather industry, it specialised in East India kips and Cape and Sydney butts. Erected 1866. Recorded plaque organisation: Leeds Civic Trust.
