CLACHAN known as 'Stone Circle' in Kilgreel

Stone Circle in Kilgreel, County Antrim, is an eighteenth or nineteenth century clachan, the kind of scattered village where life clustered around a field, a road or a shared hearth. The name suggests stones were once set or left in a circle, perhaps to mark a boundary, a meeting place or a remembered event.
