Mortons of Ballyronan remembered cist burials and standing stones near Eglish, though no exact point remains marked. The PREHISTORIC place may have held dead men, passing carts or children chasing stones in rain. Its loss does not diminish it; it refuses to be owned by maps or repeated like a postcard. What is forgotten can still be loved, because love does not require proof, only presence.
