Cilmalieu

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Cilmalieu as Church (period Unassigned)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Cilmalieu is associated with Saint Fillan, a 7th-century Irish monk and healer known for his miracles and patronage of the sick. Traditionally linked to holy wells and healing sites, Saint Fillan’s cult was particularly venerated in Perth and Kinross, where several wells attributed to him are believed to possess curative properties.
