What is recorded here

Carrowdressex held a medieval church now vanished, leaving behind a buried rectangle and a name preserved in official records. The site still marks a place where people gathered to pray, bury their dead and orient their lives around a shared faith. What is lost is the sound of voices inside, the smell of candle smoke and the faces of the living who made the building matter.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CHURCH (site of). Recorded period: MEDIEVAL. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
