What is recorded here
Death and faith still tangle in Magheratimpany. A church vanished, a graveyard remained, and a mass rock waited for hands that stopped coming. The C17th boundary blunts the story, but the shape is clear: people gathered, buried their dead, and left a stone marker behind.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CHURCH (site of), GRAVEYARD & MASS ROCK. Recorded period: C17TH; UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
