Freestanding limestone ashlar mausoleum or monument, dated 1821, on a square plan on cut-limestone stepped base. Set in unkempt grounds shared with Church of Saint Charles the Martyr (Kilcommon) with spear head-detailed cast-iron railings to perimeter.
A mausoleum or monument erected 'to the MEMORY of the Right Honorable [sic] JOHN CHARLES SMITH DE BURGH BINGHAM [1762-1821] LORD BARON CLANMORRIS of Newbrook in the County of Mayo' contributing positively to the group and setting values of the Church of Saint Charles the Martyr (Kilcommon).
