According to Ó Murchadha (1967, 11) the ancient church of 'cillin na mban' or 'Killyneamon' lay 'in the field on the western slope of Cruachan'. Exact location not known. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
