This church was referred to in the 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork - vol. 4 North Cork' (2000, 483) under the entry (no. 14130) for a burial ground (CO040-112001-). The reference in the entry is as follows: '….. Bowman (ibid.) described site as burial ground '22 yds in diameter' with 'fence...practically levelled...no sign of the early church'.'
