This church was referred to in the 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork - vol. 4 North Cork' (2000, 483) under the entry (no. 14130) for a burial ground (CO040-112001-). The reference in the entry is as follows: '….. Bowman (ibid.) described site as burial ground '22 yds in diameter' with 'fence...practically levelled...no sign of the early church'.' The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
