What is recorded here
Killuney holds a graveyard field where the boundary between living memory and dead soil blunts. The exact age escapes record, but the function remains clear: people died, others stopped to watch them stop, and the earth took what it always takes. The field does not need a date to be heavy. It needs only the weight of forgotten bodies and the patience of grass growing over them.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CHURCH & GRAVEYARD: GRAVEYARD FIELD. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
