Children's burial ground

What is recorded here

In County Galway, a children's burial ground lies in reclaimed bogland near Montiagh. Its rectangular shape is marked by a field wall and vegetation, enclosing an unknown L-shaped stone structure. The place preserves young lives lost before records existed, while the bog and grass continue to hold what people forgot.
In reclaimed bogland, c. 250m to the S of the village of Montiagh and c. 550m to the E of the River Clare. This rectangular children's burial ground (27m NW-SE; 19.5m NE-SW) is defined along the S side by a field wall and elsewhere by a vegetation band. All that is visible within the interior is an L-shaped grassed-over stone structure (3m NE-SW; 2m NW-SE), the date and function of which are unknown.
