Childrens Burial Gd. lies within a Galway ringfort where local memory claims child burials continued until the mid-twentieth century. Ten metres of overgrown grass hide scattered stones, not a row but a sprinkling, as if small lives were returned to the earth without ceremony or boundary. The ringfort stands as a ancient shield around that forgotten tender place.

Within a ringfort (GA043-045----). According to local information, the interior of the ringfor twas used as a CBG up to 46 years ago. It is indicated by an irregular unenclosed overgrown area (NE-SW c. 10m) within which a number of randomly scattered set stones are visible.
