What is recorded here
Children may have lain beneath that Rossinure Beg field, though no marker or date remains to prove it. If little bodies did rest there, they belonged to a time when adults still buried their dead without asking permission from distance. The field would have carried that weight silently, absorbing rain and footsteps while keeping its own counsel. Even uncertainty leaves a shadow behind, and the shadow belongs to the children.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CHILDREN'S BURIAL GROUND (possible). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
