Children's burial ground in Poulaphuca (oughtmama Ed)

Children's burial ground

What is recorded here

Poulaphuca is a children's burial ground hidden inside a Clare cashel, where small randomly spaced stones still mark the eastern third of the interior. The place belongs to local tradition rather than grand history, yet that makes it sharper: children were set apart, remembered without praise, and left within a wall built for living people. To walk there is to meet the part of a town that refuses to perform grief.
Within the interior of a cashel (CL006-036007-). Known from local tradition as recorded during a field inspection (1997) and evidenced by small randomly spaced stones set into the ground which cover the E third of the cashel interior.
