Children's burial ground in Knockearagh

Children's burial ground

What is recorded here

No stones, no marks, no proof at all. Only a rath in Kerry and a local claim that children were buried inside it. The absence is the shape: a hidden ground, remembering what it will not show.
In a rath (KE067-007----). According to local information, children were buried in the interior of the rath. There are no visible remains of any graves or grave-markers in the rath. Compiled by: Elizabeth Byrne, Ursula Egan and Sheila Ronan, Archaeological Survey Unit, University College, Cork. Date of upload: 31 January 2011
