Knockdoebeg West holds a children's burial ground inside a cashel, marked by small earthfast boulders and loose field stones rather than grand monuments. Dense briar and thorn growth still choke the interior, forcing anyone who wants to see the place to push through a living wall of prickles. The site belongs to local memory and the small stones suggest that adult hands once arranged them for young lives lost before records or praise.

In the NE quadrant of a cashel (GA070-105----). According to local information, this is the site of a children's burial ground. The interior of the cashel is almost inaccessible due to dense briar and thorn growth but several earthfast boulders (average H 0.2m; Wth 0.3m; T 0.1m) were visible as well as loose field stones. This monument was brought to our attention by Dr C. Cunniffe.
