What is recorded here

Half a century ago, a still-born child was laid to rest in the southern dirt of the Derreen Upper ringfort. The earth closed over the tiny body without witness or ceremony, marking the last known use of the buried ground. Time has since erased every visible trace, leaving only the faint memory that children once slept beneath the ancient stones.

Within ringfort (GA031-031----). According to local information, there was a CBG in S half of the rath; no visible surface trace survives. A still-born child was buried here 50 years ago, and there is no recollection of its use within the last 25 years.
