Children's burial ground in Cromane Lower holds rows of upright, uninscribed markers within a rough circle above the shoreline near Cromane Spit. The site is small enough to imagine as a place set apart for the youngest dead, yet the absence of names removes them from memory as quickly as the sea removes shape from stone. It is not a display or a warning. It is a reminder that some losses were so common they stopped being spoken about.

This site is located directly above the shoreline near the landward end of Cromane Spit. Access to it was not possible due to an impenetrable overgrowth of gorse. The site is described locally as an unenclosed burial area, of roughly circular plan, which contains rows of uninscribed, upright grave-markers. The above description is derived from A.
